By Public Transportation: Take the MBTA Red Line to Fields Corner (Ashmont Line). Exit the station on the Charles Street side, turn right down Charles towards Dorchester Avenue. Cross Dorchester Avenue then turn left, the granite entrance to #1452 is a short distance from the crosswalk. If you see the post office on your right you have gone past the entrance. Ten minutes maximum total walking time from the station.
By Bicycle: Dorchester Avenue is the most direct route south out of downtown Boston, you can catch it by Fort Point Channel. It is about a 5 mile ride from Broadway. Try bikely.com or dotbike.org to find the best routes from your location. There is a city bike rack in front, or you can bring your bike into the building – we do have an elevator.
By Car From Boston: Take 93 South to Columbia Road/JFK Umass (exit 17). At the end of the ramp, turn right onto Columbia Road, immediately get in the left lane. At the first light (Dorchester Avenue), take a left. Go 2 miles south on Dorchester Avenue, #1452 is the 4-story brick “flatiron” style building at the intersection of Dorchester Avenue and Adams Street on the left, just one block before the MBTA overpass. There is two-hour on-street parking, also a two-hour municipal parking lot a block north of Fields Corner on Adams Street.
By Car From South of Boston: Take 93 North to Columbia Road/JFK Umass (exit 17). At the end of the ramp turn right -to reverse direction and go west on Columbia Road you will need to drive all the way around the rotary. Go back under the highway and through the first set of lights. Get into the left lane, and at the next lights (Dorchester Avenue), take a left. Go 2 miles south on Dorchester Avenue, and see directions above.
