Island AmbassadorsBoston Harbor Islands Partnership opportunities for young people to work—and learn—on the Boston Harbor Islands.
The Island Ambassadors program of the National Park Service and Thompson Island Outward Bound Education Center offers full-time summer employment opportunities for Greater Boston youth, ages 15 – 18.  Island Ambassadors explore careers in science and environment, gain leadership skills, and participate in environmental stewardship and public outreach.  Applications are due April 15th, visit their website here.

the food projectThe Food Project is currently hiring youth ages 14-17 to work 6.5 weeks, Jul 6-Aug 18. Youth earn $200 per week (before taxes), get a t-pass for transportation and also earn a 40 hr volunteer credit to use toward high school graduation requirements.

Hours are 9 AM to 4:30 PM, Mon through Fri, and you must be able to work all 6 and a half weeks. Youth participate in workshops each week, covering issues of diversity awareness, hunger and homelessness, sustainable agriculture, and personal reflection. Deadline: Mar 19.

Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) – Hiring teens and adults for this summer!

Boston Natural Areas Network is looking for teens age 15-17 to work this summer along the Neponset and East Boston Greenways and in Boston’s Urban Wilds. Teens must be registered with the Mayor’s HopeLine/Boston Youth Fund – registration through March 15th at www.bostonyouthzone.com.
